Patrons rave about the signature crispy battered fish, which consistently wins hearts and stomachs alike. The golden chips boast the perfect crunch, complementing the main dish effortlessly.

The homemade mushy peas and curry sauce shine as highlights, transforming a classic order into a memorable meal. These flavorful sides set Bedders apart from other chip shops, showcasing a unique touch.

Value for money tops the list of reasons for repeat visits. Diners appreciate generous portions at reasonable prices, making each meal feel worthwhile. With offerings that satisfy both hunger and budget, it’s easy to see why Bedders has cultivated a loyal following over the decades.

Fast, friendly service adds to the overall satisfaction, creating a welcoming environment that encourages patrons to return.

Most Disliked

While many celebrate Bedders for its quality, some diners find the price slightly on the higher side. However, the consensus maintains that the freshness and flavor justify the cost, especially in a city where cheap eats abound.

Occasionally, patrons experience waits during busy hours, which can be frustrating for those craving immediate satisfaction, particularly given the quick-service reputation.

A few point out that as the restaurant is well-loved, it sometimes feels packed during peak times. For individuals seeking quiet lunches or romantic dinners, the bustling atmosphere might be less desirable.

We always enjoy a trip to Bedders, knowing that we will receive A1 food, service at a decent price. The potions are spot on, not piled high but not skimpy. These days it's more of a special occasion as we don't live in the area anymore. Still serves up a great experience. Full marks & keep doing what you do, cos it's fantastic 👏🏻 😀

I’ve been here a couple of times and it’s very unique and tasty, I’ve never seen a chippy like it. Chippy served on a plate with onions and fish bits on top is great! Reasonably priced too and comes with a drink. Although I am told by several people that it used to be better a few years ago.
